Ok, so I got started tinkering with the last stuff and I couldn’t help looking at my new Photoshop Auto Tilt-shift Action. Whee! I didn’t have much quality material for tilt-shifting, but now that I know what kind of pictures work best I think I’ll keep my eye out for opportunities to take them. I put the original photo in with these as well so you can really see the difference.

I’ve been wanting to get out and some more experimenting… specifically with HDR (High Dynamic Range) and Panoramas. My photo appointment got rescheduled so I took that opportunity to go take some photos next to where my old house used to be. There was a real lack of clouds in the sky so the HDR photos didn’t come out as dramatic as I wanted them too, but it was fun doing the process.

Brought the camera into campus today to take along to our lunch at The Elbow Room, which was delicious. Being right in the heart of downtown it presented an opportunity to get some nice building shots. Later when I got home we headed to the park and I got some good ones there as well.

I’m active on a few Photography forums and I’ve started getting in on some of their Assignments… One I just finished was called “Jump!” The sky was very cool looking today, so I was trying to coax Carson into jumping over me so I could capture him against the deep blue background. It wasn’t until his mom stepped in as his jumping assistant did his confidence allow him to make the leap. I also got some shots of the boys riding around in the H3, the tulips in the front yard that suddenly added some red to their petals, and the good dogs.

Our previous scouting came to great use this past weekend when I took Carson and Sam back to IMA to do some portraits. I ended up using a few from the scouting shoot as they turned out really well. Both boys had a ton of fun.
